I received so many emails, dms and messages on Black Friday and Cyber Monday in reference to Palo Santo that I decided it was time to let everyone know why Serenity House does not carry it.
The beautiful Palo Santo tree is native to Peru and Ecuador. It is known for its ability to heal medicinally as well as for its success in warding off negative energy and cleansing spaces. It is truly a holy wood.
I know what you must be thinking by now. “If it’s so holy, why not sell it?”
That question can be answered in one word.
Honor.
To truly honor the Palo Santo tree, it should never be cut down or sold. The only way to reap the true benefits of the tree is through locating or being gifted one (from a Shaman) that has died naturally and has been allowed to rest on the forest floor for at least five years (the longer the better).
With the recent surge in popularity of all things spiritual, the Palo Santo tree has quite possibly suffered the most. They have been cut down and harvested at an alarming rate placing them on a fast track to extinction. Even though it is illegal in both Ecuador and Peru to cut down a Palo Santo tree, it has become overwhelming to enforce that law due to the surge in demand for the wood of this sacred tree.
There are several other spiritual avenues that can be explored to heal and cleanse spaces such as Serenity House’s Aura Cleansing Mist, Florida Water and Incense. Do your part today and help to stop the assassination on Palo Santo.
