Spiritual Student Saturday 👩🏾‍💻

Updated: Apr 22, 2020

I’m not sure if I’ve shared this with you guys but I am currently an IT student. I’ve had some ups and downs that have delayed my scholastic journey but I refuse to give up.

Prior to starting a family, all of my reading for the upcoming week as well as about 90% of my assignments were done the previous Sunday. My days, weeks and months were planned down to the minute in terms of my assignments.

Obviously that’s a thing of the past. My son has a unique super power that involves predicting when I will have the energy and motivation to complete my assignments and then sucking every ounce of it out of me within minutes. Gotta love being a mommy 💞

Becoming a mom and deciding to finish my degree at the same time has forced me to use quite a bit of creativity to stay organized and on top of my assignments.

Now that I am able to work from home, Saturday has become my new day to start and finish my homework assignments. I start my day with a short meditation session during which I set my intentions for the day. I have a nice cup of green tea with a shot of ACV to get my blood flowing. Once I am able to get my precious baby boy settled into a nap or an attention grabbing tv show, I break out my Fluorite. It helps to overcome chaos and promotes calmness. It draws negative energies and stress away from you. It cleanses and stabilizes your aura. It also protects against electromagnetic stress and helps you to learn by increasing your ability to concentrate (great for college students like me).

I also find it helpful to incorporate the element of water into my study sessions. I was given a small desktop waterfall by my better half that really helps to keep me calm whenever I’m feeling overwhelmed. If you don’t have one, there are tons of videos on YouTube with images and sounds of water that work just as well.

School is still difficult at times but when I combine my spiritual resources with my determination, nothing can stop me.

How do you stay on top of your to do list?
