3 Tips to Redirect Negative Thoughts

When was the last time you dedicated time to exploring your thoughts and why some or all of them may be negative?


Pay attention to what takes place around you as well as inside you just before your thoughts took a turn. Exploration leads to knowledge and understanding. When you get to the root of a problem you have a better chance of eliminating it.


The goal is improvement. No one on earth has a mind that is 100% free of negative thoughts. Be patient and understanding with yourself. Always remember that it is natural to have negative thoughts but it is not natural to allow negative thoughts to taint your entire mindset.


3 Tips to Redirect Negative Thoughts

  1. Decide how you will deal with negative thoughts first thing in the morning. This can be done during your morning meditation session or even before you plant your first foot on the floor. Stick with it!

  2. Acknowledge what made you upset and give thanks for the opportunity to flex your emotional muscle.

  3. Remember that your life is not the only life being lived. If your negative thoughts resulted from the actions of someone else, allow empathy to remind you that they may be experiencing issues that you are not aware of. Get rid of your frustrations by transferring your negative thoughts into positive vibes and ship them back into their direction first class.
